Dr. U. Indulal had the privilege to be trained in the historic 7 ½ years’ gurukula education program offered by Coimbatore Ayurveda College, run by The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (Coimbatore) Limited, a pioneer Ayurveda institution in India, and graduated in the year 1993. Ever since, he was working for The Arya Vaidya Pharmacy (AVP) and was involved in its clinical, academic, research and manufacturing activities for 25 years.
In AVP, his last assignment was as the Head of Academics & Medical Projects. He was involved in international academic activities of the organization and in conceptualization and implementation of new medical projects. During his tenure in AVP, he was based in the main hospital campus, Arya Vaidya Chikitsalayam and Research Institute, which was also the venue of many medical, academic, and prestigious research programs. One of them was the path-breaking comparative clinical trial in the form of a randomized double-blind study on rheumatoid arthritis, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the National Institute of Health (NIH), USA, published in 2011.
From 2012 to 2015, he was involved as the Dean in the design, and thereafter in the supervision, of a high-level training program in Ayurveda medicine offered by SAMA-Swiss Ayurvedic Medical Academy Ltd. in the AVP campuses.
Dr U. Indulal has travelled to the United Kingdom, to the Unites States of America, to Canada, Hungary, Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, Thailand, China, Switzerland, Madagascar, Indonesia, France, Latvia, and Brazil for the promotion of Ayurveda.
